The instrument ionizes the air between its handpiece and the epidermis, generating a micro-plasma beam. Upon contact with the epidermis, the plasma sublimates the corneocytes, changing them from a solid to a gaseous state, resulting in the renewal of the epidermis. Some of the energy reaches the dermis, stimulating the production of new collagen and promoting the reorganization of existing collagen fibers.
